The best easy to clean air fryer for people who hate scrubbing baskets. Five dishwasher-safe picks from about $70 to $300, plus what makes cleanup quick.

The air fryer that ends up in the cupboard is rarely the one that cooked badly. It is the one with a greasy basket nobody wanted to wash.
Cleanup decides whether you keep using the thing. A basket with a fixed grate and a coating that grabs melted cheese turns a ten-minute dinner into a fifteen-minute chore. Do that every night and you go back to the oven.
So this list ranks air fryers on one question: how little work is it to keep clean? We picked five, each for a different household. EggBoo does not run a test kitchen. These picks come from published specs, current prices and what independent reviewers and owners report about cleaning, and we say where those sources disagree.
"Dishwasher safe" is printed on nearly every box now, so it does not separate much. These details do.
One honest caveat. Most manufacturers that call their baskets dishwasher safe also say hand washing makes the coating last longer. Ninja and Cosori both give that advice. The dishwasher is fine on the nights you cannot face the sink. Our guide to cleaning an air fryer covers the two-minute hand wash that keeps a basket going for years.

The Yolk: A good air fryer that also happens to be easy to wash, which is rarer than it sounds.
The TurboBlaze is our pick for most kitchens. Two pieces come out: a basket and a crisper plate, both coated in ceramic that Cosori markets as PFAS-free, and both dishwasher safe. The TODAY shopping team, which updated its air fryer rankings in August 2026, named it best overall and gave it full marks for ease of cleaning. It cooks well too, with a 450F top temperature and five fan speeds, and it carries a two-year warranty.
Cosori's own care guidance still leans toward hand washing to protect the coating. A soak in hot soapy water and a soft sponge does it.
Pros
Cons
Skip it if you mostly cook for one. A 6-quart basket is more to wash than you need.
EggBoo Verdict: The one we would point most households to. It is easy to keep clean and nothing about the cooking has been traded away for it. For how it stacks up against Ninja, see Ninja vs Cosori.
The Yolk: The cheapest way to get a family-size basket that cleans up quickly.
TODAY's testers called this the easiest to clean of everything they ranked and credited the nonstick coating. TechGearLab reached the same view, describing cleanup as exceptionally easy, with only two removable parts. Both of those parts, the pan and the crisping tray, are dishwasher safe, and the listing describes the coating as a ceramic nonstick.
You give up some cooking range for the price. It tops out at 400F, and TechGearLab found fries came out evenly cooked but not deeply browned.
Pros
Cons
Skip it if you want deep-fryer crunch more than you want an easy wash.
EggBoo Verdict: The budget pick, and an easy one to recommend. If cleanup is what keeps you from using an air fryer, this fixes it for under $100. More options at that price are in our best budget air fryers guide.
The Yolk: A small basket is a small wash, and this is the small basket people keep buying.
The AF101 is a 4-quart, single-basket fryer with a ceramic-coated basket and crisper plate, both dishwasher safe. There is no window or rack to clean. Owners give it a strong reputation for durability, with baskets that hold up over a long time. That matters here, because a coating that peels is a coating that sticks.
Ninja says the parts can go in the dishwasher but recommends hand washing for a longer life. At 4 quarts the basket fits in a sink easily, so that is not much of a hardship.
Pros
Cons
Skip it if you regularly feed three or more in one batch.
EggBoo Verdict: The easy-clean pick for couples and solo cooks. It is also our default in best air fryers for two people.
The Yolk: You cook in glass dishes, and everything except the heating unit goes in the dishwasher.
The Crispi works differently from a basket fryer. A heating unit sits on top of a borosilicate glass container. The original model comes with a 4-quart container and a 6-cup one, each with a crisper plate and a lid, so leftovers can go straight in the fridge. Tech Advisor confirms everything except the heating element is dishwasher safe. Its reviewer noticed crumbs catching in the small gap between the glass and the plastic base, and the dishwasher cleared them.
The appeal for cleaning is that glass walls have no coating to protect. The crisper plate is ceramic-coated, so there is still a little nonstick to treat gently.
Prudent Reviews points out that the original's detachable heating unit has exposed coils, so it needs a safe place to sit when it is hot. Cooking is limited to preset modes, and the cooking surface is smaller than a typical 6-quart basket. Owners have reported glass containers cracking, and Prudent Reviews puts replacements at $44 to $60. Tech Advisor lists it at $179.99, with retailers selling it closer to $153.
The newer Crispi Pro fixes the exposed coils and adds full temperature control from 80F to 450F. Prudent Reviews found it noisier than its competitors, and it has its own gap between the glass and the base where food and water get trapped.
Pros
Cons
Skip it if you cook big batches or you have young kids reaching for the counter.
EggBoo Verdict: The pick if a coated basket is what bothers you. It is easy to clean and it cooks well, but read the glass and coil caveats before you buy.
The Yolk: The only pick that tries to clean the part you cannot reach.
Washing the basket is easy on any of these. The heating element above it is the hard part, and grease builds up there until it smokes. The Dome 2 has a self-clean cycle for exactly that. It runs a high-heat cycle, like an oven's self-clean, to break down grease in the top cavity. You start it from the Typhur app and choose one hour or two. Typhur suggests running it about once a month.
Reviewers note it targets oil, not crumbs, and some owners say it did not do as much as they hoped. Day to day, you still wash the ceramic basket and the removable crisping plate, both dishwasher safe. The basket is wide and only a couple of inches deep, which makes it easier to wipe out than a deep drawer.
It is a big, heavy machine, nearly 20 inches wide and around 20 pounds. Typhur's own store lists it at $299.95 as of October 2026, down from the higher prices it has sold at this year.
Pros
Cons
Skip it if you cook for one or two, or your counter is already full.
EggBoo Verdict: Worth it if you cook greasy food often and hate deep-cleaning the inside of the unit. For most people, a Cosori and a monthly ten-minute wipe-down does the same job for a third of the price.
Windows. A viewing window saves you from opening the drawer, but it is one more surface for grease to fog. Instant recommends hand washing the Vortex Plus ClearCook basket to keep its window clear, even though the basket is listed as dishwasher safe. It is a very good air fryer. It just is not the low-effort cleaning pick.
Oven-style units. Air fryer ovens do more, and there is more to wash, from racks and drip trays to the door glass. Some make it easier with removable doors and dishwasher-safe trays, but you are still cleaning a box rather than a basket. Our air fryer vs toaster oven comparison goes into the trade-offs.
Liners. A perforated parchment or silicone liner keeps the basket cleaner, but a solid sheet blocks airflow. We compare the two in silicone vs parchment air fryer liners.
We started with what makes cleanup quick in practice: the number of removable parts, whether the crisper plate comes out, the coating, the shape of the basket and the manufacturer's dishwasher guidance. Then we checked current prices at major retailers as of October 2026 and read what reviewers found. Our main sources were the TODAY shopping team's August 2026 rankings, TechGearLab, Tech Advisor and Prudent Reviews, along with Ninja's and Cosori's care guidance and owner feedback on retailer listings.
We left out fryers that are hand-wash only and oven-style units with many parts. If you are still deciding on size and type, read how to choose an air fryer. Short on counter space? Start with best air fryers for small kitchens. Our air fryer finder will narrow the list in about a minute.
For most people, a single-basket model with a removable ceramic-coated crisper plate. The Cosori TurboBlaze is our overall pick and the Beautiful 6 Qt is the budget one. Both have two parts to wash, and both scored top marks for cleaning with TODAY's testers.
If the manual says so, yes. Most Ninja, Cosori and Instant baskets and plates are listed as dishwasher safe, and the top rack is the gentler spot. Most of those brands still say hand washing helps the coating last, so use the dishwasher on bad nights and the sink the rest of the time. The main unit never goes in water.
The containers are. Glass has no wall coating to scratch, and the Ninja Crispi's containers, plates and lids all go in the dishwasher. The trade-off is heavy glass that can crack, and a smaller cooking area than a 6-quart basket.
Partly. The Typhur Dome 2's cycle uses high heat to break down grease around the heating element, and reviewers report it clears oil residue. It takes at least an hour and does nothing about crumbs. Some owners were let down by it. You still wash the basket after cooking.
Wash it after every use, while the grease is still soft. Skip aerosol cooking sprays, which can leave a sticky film on nonstick coatings, and use silicone or wooden tools instead of metal. If yours is already smoking from old grease, our guide to why air fryers smoke covers the fix.
Buy the Cosori TurboBlaze if you want one air fryer that cooks well and is quick to wash. The Beautiful 6 Qt does the cleaning part nearly as well for about $69. Cooking for one or two? The Ninja AF101 is the smallest wash on the list. Choose the Ninja Crispi if you would rather cook in glass than look after a coated basket. The Typhur Dome 2 is only worth its size and price if grease around the heating element is your real problem.
